My hat's off to Zach Braff. I finally watched Garden State yesterday and I reaaally liked it. It's cute, it's sweet, it's funny, well thought, it's got great lines and the direction is just lovely. I absolutely enjoyed it. Natalie Portman was simply delicious in it, too. Quite different from the the bad bad Padme.
After finishing this film, I watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, which I had already seen, but it's cute and Matthew McConaughey is just niiiice to look at. Those are all my reasons. I don't really need more reasons. Kate Hudson is cute, too.
Speaking of Kate Hudson, on Saturday I went to see The Skeleton Key, which was really good! I liked it. It's got an interesting twist there that I won't give away. That film takes place in New Orleans and it was a bit freaky to think that the land you're seeing right then, probably is covered by water or recently has been. Anyway, that aside, the film is quite interesting. Not very spooky, but interesting.
A film I had always been interested in seeing because it seemed good enough was The Forgotten. Well, it SEEMED good, but it wasn't. It wasn't entirely bad either. It's just that when it had gotten interesting, it just went to hell. I mean, bad, bad way of going around it. I didn't like. It didn't help that I find Julianne Moore irritating for some unexplainable reason...
Last week, I had my very own LotR marathon too, but I'll spare you that. The only thing I'm going to say is that I still haven't seen the extended version of RotK and my thon reminded me how much I want to see SOMETHING -ANYTHING- about the houses of healing bit.
